I got my accord taken into my uncles shop and asked them to take off my resonator and instead of doing what i asked they decided what i really wanted was a quiet muffler. So i have this ugly, gross sounding, and super restrictive muffler on it and i can actually feel the back pressure messing with my idle. So I need to decide what kind of muffler i should swap into it. I have been loking into cherry bombs or glass packs but i don't know enough about them to invest the money into it, I have heard that the glass inside gets messed up quickly and goes away, what happens to the sound once all the glass packing is gone?

 

Let's get this out of the way: your exhaust is not your issue with your idle, etc.

That being said, I LOVE using OEM mufflers off other, higher performance cars. Theyre cheap, plentiful, and if you research them, usually give you what youre looking for. I'm currently using a stock 05-06 RSX Type-S muffler with my factory piping. Its perfect, IMO. Sounds great, looks OEM-ish, and really won't be a hinderance to perofrmance for another 40hp. I thought backpressure would be the cause of the rough idle, but it isn't. okay.
And i'll look into the muffler you were talking about.
