Default 1991 hatch build

I posted earluer about a b16. I can possibly get a b18 for less and do the same things to it. My question is..is there much difference in the modifications to make the engine fit. Also correct me if im wrong but should gain a little more power. Thanks in advance

Swaps are almost the same. The b18 is obviously 1.8 liters as apposed to 1.6. So yes the b18 has slightly more power. Most people prefer the b18

Regarding power, it would depend on the specific B16 and B18 being referenced since the OP didn't clarify which ones are in question.

Same swap, B18C if you can afford it.

Are they really cheaper?

A B18C will make more power from the get go.

B16A and B18A/B18B are generally regarded as being equally quick. The B18C is faster than both of those. If you can get a B18C for less, definitely get it. The swap costs the same regardless of which motor you get. It will cost more if one of those engines has a hydro transmission attached to it.
