Default Water Injection on NA

I can find a lot of info on water/meth kits for turbo cars, and I want to do it to my NA Gsr, has anyone done it with no turbo/supercharger? Any pros and con's with this setup? Any info is constructive, thanks HT!

Water injection is a useful system for N/A but for lesser reasons. The system will allow you to control detonation on high compression engines or motors consuming less than correct fuel octain. It is especially helpfull in the sumertime with high heat and an edgy tune that will rapidly produce detonation spikes when under full loads. These systems do work and well. There must be some kind of intelligent controller with failsafe options to make it FULLY reliable and these run the system cost way up.
It can also be implemented manually while driving to actually steam clean your combustion chambers and keep carbon deposits from accumulating.
A good system like the AEM set up will cost as much as a nitrous system with no power increase to your combination. It is the user controls on these systems that make them versitile. A cheap system is a sure waste of money as the pumps are allways failing.

devils own has a much more versatile system then snow, they have many more options, and flexibility, I have a high compression carburated motor, and I'm interested in a system to prevent detonation at higher RPM, you shouldn't spray below about 4000 rpms anyway as it will tend to quench the flame front

Sorry for the late reply, but my dad and I are wanting to fully build 350 for his T-bucket and I was researching Water injection but I could come up with only boost related results.

Thanks for the info though guys!

I'm glad you were able to get the information that helps you.

This inquiry doesn't appear to be for a Honda per say and is pretty universal information.

I believe the information is helpful as it stands now so should be available for others to find looking for some general information.

Thread is closed before it deviates from being useful and also being it's not specific to a 92-00 Civic/Del Sol.

This kind of Topic might be better suited in the NA section if not the Misc/Tech section.
