Water sloshing behind seats
Hi guys,
I have a problem with my Sol. I can hear water sloshing sloshing around behind the seats whenever I'm cornering.
How can I get rid of this?
Cheers,
Eduard

Its a Del Sol problem. You have water trapped in the wall where your rear window goes down into. The rear window acts as a drain of sorts from the roof and sometimes water tend to collect there. You are not the first, this problem is almost as common as the sail panel leaks...
You will have to remove your personal trunk to get to the problem and remove the water. I am sure i can find you a how to somewhere.

Sorry to double post but i cant add pictures through an edit.
There is you sloshing noise \/ Those drain holes are clogged

And here is a DIY on how to fix it THE RIGHT WAY
There is even ways to do it without taking out all the interior at the bottom of the DIY. \/
water in rear window? (How To)

Another walk-through from our very own H-T alibeit not nearly as well done, and not specifically for water. Though it does have a nice section about re weather stripping your rear window to prevent the problem from happening again. \/

Lastly if your up for experimentation, there is this \/
"I used someone elses idea and went to Wamart and bought the generic effervescent denture cleanser tablets (equate) for $2.97. I rolled down my back window; dropped 2 tablets on each side and 30 minutes later there was a puddle under my car. I have had the problem of water being held up in this compartment every time it has rained for over 2 years now. Problem solved without any maintenance."

Step 1: Ripping out the interior

I squeezed and wiggled the hoses, looked under the car and the water started dripping slowly...

I decided not to take out the window unit and after more squeezing and some tight corner the water started coming out.
Water trail!

Thanks a lot!

For the first time in months I gave my sol some TLC. I cleaned the targa roof rubbers, going to grease them up later. Cleaned out gunk in trunk near the rear window and cleaned the rubber strip between hood and bumper.
