Default Oil pump timing required?

I have a 2000 CRV with a 2.0L B20Z2 (non-vtech) that is pusing alot of oil out of the cam shaft seals on the timing belt side. I've replaced the seals and that hasn't slowed the oil at all. Someone told me that the oil pump needs to be timed with the cams & crank, otherwise it will overpressure the head. Is this true? Any info available on how to do this, or what else might be causing the hemmorhaging, would be appreciated?

The oil pump only fits on the crank snout at 1 position. If your timing is on the "oil pump timing" will be on as well. Sounds like you need to do the cam seals and valve cover gasket again. Use small ***** of silicon in all the corners.

No timing has nothing to do with a oil leak.

Pull the gears off again use a seal pick and pull off the seals, inspect them if there still good apply a thin layer of honda bond from the dealer around the seal and press it in slightly and use a socket thats the same size as the seal and use a rubber mallet and tap it in flush and wipe off the excess honda bond. Also check the valve cover gasket. You should always use a small dab of honda bond on every corner of the valve cover gasket just to be sure its sealed.

Thanks folks. I'll try reinstalling the new valve cover gasket and new cam seals with Hondabond and see if that makes a difference.

I think my oil leak is front right corner of the head gasket.
