Default 16" Bronze Volk TE-37 on PY ITR -

So I got my Volks all finished up and mounted. Right now its at an aggressive track height. It wont go any lower on the Ohlins in the front. But this suspension isnt made to slam the car. Its a race suspension and the sleeves are pretty much bottomed out in the casings up front. The backs have tons of room, but as it sits right now its dead even at 23.5" inches from floor to wheel well.

I want it to be lower for Import Expo in AC on Nov 1, so Im prob just going to swap out the suspension for the weekend and lower it down for a more aggressive look for the show.

Idk how I feel about the ride height as it sits... What do you guys think?

*Flat center caps are on the way*

Use shorter springs? So if you're running 8" springs in the front, run 7" to gain some more lowering.

Otherwise the ride height looks fine. Seems like a lot of work just to slizzam the car for a weekend car show.

Looks really good to me. You could go lower but that's just a personal preference. I'm all for slammed cars but after owning many I realized how annoying it is and how shitty the ride can be.

What offset on those Volks? You may find that the rear flat caps don't fit over the oem hub cap. I have +42mm and the rear caps don't fit.

Short term, could you pull off the OE hub cap and just run with the flat wheel center caps?

Yes, you have to remove the rear caps to run the flat center caps with +42 offset volks. The front axle ends didn't come with caps, so I see no issue in removing the rear ones. You can always cover with masking tape if you're worried about dirt or debris getting in there.

why is the bronze so dark, that doesnt seem to be the original finish, unless its changed over the years, i used to have a set of original finish bronze te37's and they were lighter then those and mine had anodized lips, your lips seem to be the same finish as the wheels, im not calling yours fake, just asking if they maybe changed the finish

Yes they are refinished. Just went the extra mile to get all new stickers. Even the barrel ones with the exact copy of Rays code tag.

Where did you source the barrel tags? Mine were painted over by the P.O. of my wheels, and I would like a set when I re-finish them. You can PM me if you don't want to say here.

Got my setup all dialed in. Its perfect. I love it. Its the exact look Im been searching for since the first day I saw a ITR. This is the garage/show queen so it wont see abuse even at this height. My daily ITR sits a little higher and is more suitable for daily driving and abuse.

I'll be at the AllThingsProper booth at ImportExpo in Atlantic City on Nov 1st. Stop by and say whats up if your around! We have tons of great merch, and the show is going to be a great turnout.

I just might still be wearing my Riff Raff costume from the night before.

Lowered it a touch more and the suspension feels great even with the shorter springs. Only thing that scraped on the 7 hours worth of driving was rubber to wheel well. Even with those shitty NJ roads!!
