2003 Honda Accord TCS light
I drive a 2003 Honda accord and the TCS along with an exclamation point in a triangle keep popping up? No other lights are on other than these two that shouldn't be. Any ideas? The exclamation point/triangle is always there when the vehicle is started but the TCS won't show up unless the car is driven a block or two.
Just fixed this issue. It was due to the tcs pressure sensor neutral position memorization not being done. This is what i did, took me a couple tries and if it doesn't work also try clearing the codes which i can also find the how to if you need.
TCS pressure sensor neutral position memorization (normally you need the HDS or a good scan tool) but here's the work around.
jump pins 4 and 9 on the DLC with the key OFF
watch the ABS indicator light area.
Turn the key on, ABS light goes on, then off after 2 seconds.
within 2 seconds, push the TCS off switch
push the button again only AFTER the ABS light comes back on.
The TCS triangle should blink, then the 3 lights should go out together.
remove the jumper between pins 4 and 9 of the DLC.

Hi, I tried your method. The ABS light goes on and off as you said, but when I push the TCS button after/before 2 seconds the ABS light won't come back on. I tried several different time to no avail. Any other suggestions? My engine light is not on, so I can not get any codes. I have a 2004 Honda Accord LX V6, thanks!
My Thoughts:
Reset the codes first.
Pin 4 &9: reset the abs ecu turn ignition off ,STEP 2 depress brake pedal, turn ignition on STEP 3,the abs light will go off after about 2 seconds. STEP 4 .after the light goes off release the pedal, the light will then come on after about 4 seconds. STEP 5 when the light comes on press the pedal again STEP.6 the light will go off again, the release pedal.
I got code 84-1....Sensor logic malfunction. You can get the code without going to a store. Maybe after clearing the codes you can turn the car off and Do not touch the brake for this one, watch the blinks of the abs light when you turn it back on.
Example if the light blinks slow 8 times and fast 1 time its code 84. Please correct me if I'm wrong anybody else in the forum.
If you get the same code i did, I'm sure we can fix this issue.

I had the same issue with Traction Control System "(!)" and "TCS" a couple years ago -- I found online somewhere that sometimes a sticky brake light switch is the culprit. I got to the switch and lubed it up a bit and that seemed to solve the problem. Today the same came back on and messing with the switch didn't fix anything. I also found that the brake lights weren't always coming on when I depressed the pedal, took it to a friend's shop and they got code 68 for a brake light switch failure so we replaced the switch. AFTER replacing the switch, indicators came back, and this time we got code 84-1 (which we hadn't gotten before). So we wanted to try this procedure but the mechanic was not comfortable doing it -- said he had never done it before or seen it done before and was hoping to find video or more detailed instruction.
Since it'll be a few months yet before I see any snow I'm not too worried about it in the near term but would like to try to address it soon. Sorry for the novice question and thanks in advance for your help.
