Icon2 Motor and Transmission Code?

Hi guys, I'm new to imports and civics but I'm trying to purchase certain parts for my civic online and many sites are asking for specific information like Engine and Transmission codes... Can anyone help me out here? I know very little about this car as it's my commuter and I've only had it for a year. Thank you in advance!!!!

VIN (if it helps): 1HGEJ8646XL012322

P.S. I tried pulling up the info on this sites VIN Decoder, but the motor and transmission codes didn't come up.

Default Re: Motor and Transmission Code?

You can find the engine code just below the head/exhaust manifold where the block and transmission meet. there is a roughly 2 in. by 3 in. flat spot with a stamping on it, in your case (assuming the engine is original) D16Y8 (or Y7 if its a canadian EX). The transmission code should be on a label/decal somewhere on the top/front/end of the transmission case, usually covered in grime/oil/dirt (sometimes missing).
