greets guys, I've been going through my 94stock cx hatch and am sourcing a tranny and engine. I wish to run a d16z6 with a b000 tranny.
I have found 2 different gentlemen that are selling engine tranny combo BUT after speaking with both guys I find out they are running ecu's for an LS b18b with the original maps not flashed for d16z6
I don't think that's very safe from what I have read. I plan on compression testing the engines before purchase unless I receive input here not to buy do to the incorrect ecu running these. any info greatly appreciated. I just cant afford to buy a bad motor. need a healthy power plant

How much are they asking? Why not look at a JDM SOHC VTEC engine?

 

they are both asking 600$ for complete swap engine tranny ecu axles....one guy even including radiator. but as good as that all is if running the wrong ecu has fudged the motor im still screwed. as for why not ordering from net jdm well you see the prices they gave me and I get to inspect, drive and compression test. my only concern is if running those ls maps damaged motors
