Best way to tune an ITR in CA and still smog?
I have an ITR that has an icebox and full hytech exhaust system, otherwise stock. I have the ability to swap out the exhaust system every 2 years in order to be able to smog in CA.
What is the best solution to be able to have my car tuned by a good tuner, but still be able to revert things back to stock every 2 years for smog?
Thanks in advance.

Just pay to get the car passed pm me if you need this hook up. Or like they said have it tuned and when its time to smog use the stock edu and put back anything you modified thats not carb approved.
You guys gotta keep all the stock parts to do smog, as for headers I would keep the heat shield to make it look for normal. I'm in the process of legalizing my Ek with jdm itr swap and it's just a pain.
it'll depend on the place too.
some places will turn a blind eye to the visual (go to a smaller shop), but most can't/won't help you if the ECU is triggering the CEL.
ask your local buddies if they have a smog guy...

I have similar mods as you, just running a Jdm 4-1 with 2.5" exhaust. I am planning to go with a Hondata s100, the only additional modification for me would be a mild cam.
Being in CA, I keep my stock ecu, cat and header in storage.

I hate to be a harbinger of bad news but just don't mess with it. I am pulling my hair out in the integra forum trying to fix someone else's project. I am trying to restore to CARB legal a modded car and the purge valve solenoid is driving me bat **** with check engine lights.
