Default 91 STD "Panda Hatch" daily build

This is my 91 STD. I picked it up from a friend as a daily. This is my second Honda but I barely owned my first. I traded a non running S14 for a running Ebay'd out EG and immediately flipped it. So I would say this is my first real Honda. I was driving my Miata daily but it's becoming more and more impractical every day haha.

My plan for this car is to keep it very simple. Fix what's wrong and do some minor upgrades.

Well here she is. 160,000 miles all original except for the wheels and a glasspack exhaust lol.

Nice hatch. Looks like a blue interior? finding matching parts for the interior are going to be a fun ride. PLEASE if you sell that arm rest pm me first lol.

Yup blue interior. Haha I'm definitely keeping the arm rest.

First thing I did was put a fresh coat of paint on the trim and bumpers. It really made the car look much better.

Next I collected some parts. I got a replacement oil pan (mine's dented) an SI cam and other various pieces.

After that I had to diagnose the sloppy handling and squishy brake pedal. Coming from the Miata these were two massive problems. I had a friend tell me about some cheap suspension parts and I snagged them up. I ended up getting Tokico blue shocks with Suspension Techniques lowering springs, Suspension Techniques rear sway bar and a custom front strut tower brace. That improved the handling massively, still not as good as the Miata haha.

And to fix the brakes I bought an Accord LXi brake master cylinder. It's a little bigger and bolts right up minus slightly bending one of the brake lines. Overall the pedal feels much better.

And that's how it sits now. Strut tower brace doesn't fit with dual point so I'll have to wait to put that on.

How long did it take you to replace those rear LCAs? And how long did it take you to do the front coilovers? I just want to compare my time to yours on the coilovers and get an idea for the rear LCAs if I get some new ones. My rear LCAs don't have the holes for a sway bar.

Nice. I've always liked the EF hatch. Looks like a good start, good luck!

It's a 205/50 Kumho Ecsta ASx on a 15x6.5 in Konig Helium looks like. Looks good to me, I like beefy tires! Although many people would probably prefer a 195/50 on a 6.5 wide wheel instead.
