Chip pins about to break!

Default Chip pins about to break!

Hi my ecu went bad so I was swapping my chip to another ecu but when i removed the chip, one of the pin is about to break off, what should i do?

Put it in a chip burner and copy it to a new chip.

(Vague direct answer based on direct question without detail about EMS.)

To MODs - I think it should be a standard thing or else face lock to post EMS and what version of Software AND Hardware when threads are made. It gets really old begging the OP for relevant information. Actually, this should be a requirement in all relevant sub-forums.

I agree but I could put it in the FAQ and they wouldn't read it either. I think your first answer was adequate.

If you're in a pinch you can solder a wire from a resistor across the leg to reinforce it. I used a chip like that for 3 months before I remembered to change it
