Default Jumpy tach.

Hello. So I have a 97 v6 accord with about 204k miles. The problem started a couple weeks ago. So after the car has warmed up completely and I have been driving around for maybe 10 minutes, the tach needle would start jumping in between 0 and the actual rpm. About freeway speed (60mph) I can feel the engine stop. Like it will stop accelerating for a second and then the engine will catch back on then stop and so on for a awhile then run normally but the tach needle is still jumping. I been doing researching on the forum and read that a bad ICM could cause that but the car has never completely stalled or died out. No CEL either when it happens. I would just like some opinion on what else it could be before I spend money on a new ICM.
thanks in advance and have a nice day😃

For a V6, the engine speed output signal for the tach is from the ignition coil.
