I have a 1990 crx sir that was converted to lhd, i bought it with the conversion. I am now in the process of doing an ls/ vtec build and was wondering do i need the rhd or lhd mounts? I heard i can use the usdm mounts, but then i read that the frames are different so i cant use usdm. I would like a set of hasport or innovative but I want to make sure bedore purchasing.
I have now read everything there is to read about a CRX.
If it is indeed a genuine SiR, it is already made for a B series engine and therefore no need to buy mounts. Converting RHD to LHD does not necessarily involve changing the location of engine mounts.
If the whole front clip was swapped with a USDM CRX then all you need is plain old Hasport D to B series mounts since you would treat it like a regular CRX. But why on earth would anyone do that?

Anyways, thanks for the help!
I'm a little concerned after reading this. I bought a set of Innovate
mounts for my RHD 1991 CRX ED9, for a b series conversion with hydro
box.
Can anybody confirm that these mounts are correct for my RHD car, & if
there is in fact a different kit for a LHD & RHD CRX?

It's not the RHD or LHD that makes a difference when it comes to engine mounts. ONLY the CRX SiR either JDM or EDM is made for the B series and does not need custom mounts. Any other CRX whether JDM, USDM, EDM RHD or LHD that came with a D series engine originally needs D to B series aftermarket engine mounts.
Not all JDM CRXs were SiR.

if your car had a d-series from the factory then they will work
Yes, my car had a D16a9 originally, & a B20 by the previous owner.
I bought it without an engine or box. Dropping in a B18cR with N3E
box, so these mounts should work as I purchased them as a set for
a CRX with a B-series engine & hydro box conversion. I have the
Hasport cable actuator to operate the hydro box.

Innovative Mounts Steel Engine Mount Kit for RHD (B-Series 88-91 Civic & 88-91 CRX) | Hybrid Racing
And then some different one's for a B series non-rhd crx/civic?
88-91 Civic/CRX B-Series Mount Kit
Is it just me or are they different?

Don't get confused.
The innovative mounts are aftermarket mounts to replace the stock JDM mounts for B series equipped Civic/CRX SiR (EF8 chassis). They mention the RHD stuff because most, if not all, of the SiRs we get here come from Japan with the RHD. Also to keep ED* people from ordering those mounts which would ONLY fit a true JDM EF8 SiR CRX.
The second link is a "conversion" kit to mount a B series engine in a D series equipped CRX. (ED* CRX)
RHD and LHD have NOTHING to do with the engine mounts. The engine is not relocated just because the steering is on the right or left side of the car. This is all about the Chassis you have and which engine your car came with originally.

I had good results with just inserts from Energy Suspension in 92-95 Civic. So I'm trying to track down the correct inserts for my current project (JDM CRX Sir B16 RHD). Can anyone tell me which kit would fit my mounts? It can be either Energy Suspension or Prothane. What i found is front and rear mounts have same part number as 91-93 Integra LS so Energy kit #16.1109 should fit, but I also want the left and right (upper) mount inserts as well. Those are Prothane #8-510 and 8-511 but I'm not 100% sure they will fit..
