Do I need to replace my seat belts or Srs computer
I crashed my 99 accord lx 4cyl sedan over a year ago, frame hit a rock and popped the air bags. That really sucked, didn't even need them. My Srs light has been on ever since, airbags were replaced but light stayed on. I shorted the obd plug and got it to blink a code for seat belt pretensioners. I've also checked it while checking cels with a code scanner, the code scanner says nothing. That makes me think it's just my Srs computer. I've been too lazy to put this extra computer I have in it just to see what it does, but could I be correct? I really hope it's not the seat belts, those aren't free.
In the event of an airbag deployment, you are required to replace the SRS Computer. Your SRS system is currently disabled even though you have replaced the airbags.
The computer is a one-time use thing. If you bought a used one from a junkyard it may have already had the airbags deployed and is a dud. I've generally just bought new OEM ones.
