Icon7 HELP!!! 96 civic a/c issue

hello i have a 96 civic dx with a 2000 d16y8 swap. since i got the car the ac never worked these are the problems that i know so far:
-under the hood
ac fan doesn't turn on at all(was checked with gadget and it turns on remotely)
compressor doesn't turn on at all(same thing on top)
pressure switch bypassed it to force clutch to engage, nothing happened(pretty sure it works tho)
fuse box all fuses work and have been checked
since the compressor clutch doesn't engage the system wont take frion
i bypassed the pressure switch with cotter pin to try to engage the clutch, nothing happened.
i vacuumed out the ac lines noting.
-in the car
when ignition turned on ac doesn't .
fan doesn't engage even in the on position but radiator does.
all lights turn on the ac dash except for the ac button,
i put it on each number nothing turns on.
blower fan doesnt turn on either resistor was changed
fuses on the inside seem top be in order
seems like ac isnt getting power or something

ill post pics/create a new thread of the system if this information is too vague

is there anything i missed ive been trying my hardest to get it to work but i hit a brick wall, anything will help thank you.

Have you tested the a/c compressor w/ a multi-meter to see if the
field coil is good?

How would I do this .. If it's bad that means my compressor is bad which means that us why the whole system won't engage?

Do you have a manifold gauge set to read the AC pressures?

Yea there is no freon in my lines this means i have a leak somewhere that's what I know. I tried to put some in but the compressor won't engage and won't take freon at all

If the compressor does not engage, there can be no cooling. I had this
issue in July w/ my 96 DX. It turned out to be the compressor.

Did you check the fuse protecting the compressor circuit? Its in
the underhood fusebox. What about the relay? You can test this by
swapping the relay for that of the the a/c condenser fan. Does the a/c condenser fan activate after swapping in the compressor relay? If so, the relay is good.

To test the field coil, touch the positive lead of the multi-meter to the
electrical line immediately downstream of the thermal protector
(eg, just upstream of the compressor) and touch the negative lead
to the a/c compressor housing. Run a resistance test (you may be
able to run a continuity test). If there is an open in the field coil,
you will get no continuity signal (generally a beep) or your resistance
reading will be such as to indicate an open in the circuit, ie, "1"
or "O", eg, infinite resistance.

I checked all of my fuses under the hood and in the car they are all good replaced all the bad ones .. my fan doesn't work at all no matter what unless I force electricity to it that's same for the clutch .. for the field test will I be testing the red wire that us coming out of the compressor?

What do you mean you "force" electricity to the fan? Jump it directly to the
battery? If you "force" electricity to the a/c compressor, do you get
cool air? Refresh my memory: did you say that the cabin blower
would not operate when you switched the blower on?

Yes, unplug the 'hot' wire from the thermal protector connection. Touch
the red probe to that terminal and the black probe to the a/c compressor housing. Use a resistance test. Acceptable reading, according to the
service manny, is approx 3.0-3.4 ohms

Get a copy of the service manny and check pages 22-15 thru 22-17.
There is a flowchart for troubleshooting when the a/c compressor & condenser fan do not come on. Yours may be an a/c thermostat or heater control switch/panel issue. Or it could be an open/poor connection
in one of several wire.

Send me a personal mssg and I'll disclose the location of a service
manny.

I got the manual I got it to read if I did it right 5.3 ohm
I'll try today to trouble shoot it today for further diagnosis

Idk it was this handheld had get that it tells if it's getting a good connection.. When he tested the fan the compressor and the blower he did all this and all of them turned on manually, he told me if it does this all of its good. I don't know if it's correct now cause nothing still works

You said there's no refridgerant in the system, there's your problem.

Go to a shop and ask them to pull a vacuum on your system and see if its holding pressure and at what degree.

The fact that the blower motor does not engage seems to be telling.
Follow the flowchart on 22-15 thru 22-17 of the service manny.
Seems labor intensive but rather than randomly guessing at what it
might be, it gives you a template to follow. It accts for three of the
symptoms you described: no a/c condenser fan, no a/c compressor
and no cabin blower function.
