00-0001... Mine?
I just bought a 2000 USDM PY ITR in SoCal to replace my '01 Black ITR (more on that later, elsewhere)
Out of curiosity, I checked the badge number and it says 00-0001 (I'll take a pic later when it's light out)
Healthy skepticism.
I called the guy I purchased it from, and he said the previous owner swears it is, but we don't know how to go about verifying this.
Does anyone know how I might go about checking this? I'm very curious

Hope the seller didnt have it listed as 0001 trying to get a few extra bucks on people not being educated on the badges.
That would have made him a meanie.

Most of the time, higher the VIN, higher the badge. Many many instances of there being a perfectly linear relation VIN to Badge #. Very common in 1997-2000. By 2001 however, many batches were randomly assigned badges.
Congrats to the OP, keep heR safe!
