Default stock vs aftermarket keepers/locks

picked up some portflow valve springs and ti retainers but no keepers. would it be safe to run stock keepers on ti retainers or should I just go with supertech or so.

I've run stock in the past with no issue at all. That being said they are only $40-50 so why not make everything new and start fresh?

I think at this point most VTEC heads have well over 100k miles on them. Would be a good idea to replace what you can while it's off the block. I have used the Supertech keepers from THMotorsports. They are roughly $25.00.

I also use stick keepers no issues but I check them over for excessive wear.

Are those ssuper tech the same angle as oem I think 7 degrees so they can be used with oem retainers too

The ones I use are 7*. But I don't think I've used them with stock retainers. Stock valves yes, but everything else was aftermarket.
