Default 98 spec brakes under 96 spec wheel

Will the 98 spec ITR calipers and 11" brake rotor fit under the 96 spec ITR 15" wheel?
I have 96 spec 4x114 hubs and wheels but want to upgrade the brakes with the Fastbrakes 11" rotor and larger caliper...

Idk. What size wheels do USDM 98 spec R's have?

Hint: 15".

Funny guy lol. I guess I was concerned about offsets. I only know that the 96 has 15x6.5 wheels but dont know about the US sizes and or offsets.

You sure about that???

And is this actually going on an ITR or is this some swap job on a hatchcrap/other Integra or something? What are you doing where you need upgraded brakes from the OE ITR stuff?

Actually I am not sure. I am thinking they are 15x6 wheels the more research I do. Honestly I don't know what the hell I have on the car.
I bought a 2001 GSR that has ITR 4x114 hubs and knuckles and wheels. The owner claims they are the 96 spec brakes as well but I don't know how to verify and I need to get new pads and rotors. These things are not in very good shape.
I was hoping this community could help because everything I find when searching talks about how challenging it is to find brake parts for the 96 sepc

Quite an "upgrade" the previous owner did. But hey, it's JDM, y0!

Quite honestly you'd be better off in a forum where people swap this stuff around. Not a lot of folks here actually have a 96 spec R, but you might try a search as this question has come up before...

There are enough 96-specs around to help. This is a topic that has been covered a bit, including my threads for both front and rear upgrades:

On h-t: https://honda-tech.com/acura-integra...-spec-2764996/

On ITRCA: ITR Expo Forums: JDM 96-spec rear brakes upgrade to USDM/98-spec size help

I highly suggest it, if you plan to stay 4x114.3. All parts are readily available.

WOW Thank you for the links cheezthis!! Forgive me I am trying to make sense of someone else's project. I pulled the wheels and have some new info.
FRONT Caliper 17CL15VN and the rotors appears to measure about 11". The rear reads 7CLP13S and is roughly 9.5". Does this mean I have the 98 spec fronts and the 96 spec rears?

Looks that way. The front swap is common, but the rear is not. If possible, check the stamp on the front caliper bracket for a 23T, 25T, or a 28T. Do the wheels rub the brake caliper or bracket at all without a spacer?

I tried to see if there were markings on the bracket but couldn't see any. No rubbing at all but they are very close to the wheels. The calipers and rotors are filling up the space behind the wheel almost completely.
Now that I have this figured out is there any harm to just leave it? Do I need to upgrade rear brakes or can I just do rotors and pads from fastbrakes?

Brian at fastbrakes always helped me out with my old GSR years ago.

If you have the 98 spec front brakes, you need 4G Prelude VTEC front rotors, and the pads are ITR sized.

You can keep the rears for now, which use GSR pads. However, those rotors are tougher to find.

Call Brian at fastbrakes and see what he suggests.

Man, I never knew a 14 second car could give you a superiority complex.

Perhaps if OP would have given more details folks could have helped him or pointed him in the correct direction. Before my post, did you know WTF he was talking about?

It's like people know they don't have an ITR when they post in here and they leave out details about what exactly their question is about.

It's not a difficult concept unless you make it so.

(But if I wanted to read about brake swap questions on a GSR I'd read that forum)
