Default Parking Brake Light

So I need some help, What seemed to me would be a pretty easy fix is now something I cant figure out (Probably easy and I'm overlooking it).

I am driving down the street and I hit a bump in the road that causes me to bottom out pretty hard. The only thing I noticed is the parking brake light flickered on and off and then stayed on.

I jacked up the car and checked underneath for any damage and thank god there's none, small scrape on the bottom brace and the exhaust.

Back to the problem, I pulled the ctr console off thinking it was a grounding issue, corroded or dirty. Cleaned off the sensor-pulled off the parking brake lever and put a steel brush to all of it. Light is still on-checked for continuity and it looks good-now I don't know what to do.

the light is still on and it is bugging the S*#! out of me!!!

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, sorry-94 Accord Ex (F22B1)-manual transmission.

Check your brake fluid level.

Brake fluid is fine....double checked just to be sure
It's the parking brake light that's on (mechanical) the one indicating if it is in the up or down position.
Thx for the reply....any other thoughts?

The BRAKE indicator lamp can be caused by either the brake fluid level switch or the parking brake switch.

The issue can be related to the brake fluid level switch; the switch may be stuck closed when it should be open (if the fluid level is okay).

Thanks to all for the help-so the brake fluid did look fine, I went back and topped it off a bit more though just to be sure, and sure enough the light turned off. Curious now why the level would have been lower. I'll keep an eye out for leaks- thanks again to both of you for your help.

The brake fluid reservoir level will drop as the brake pads wear down. So, it doesn't necessarily mean there is a leak.
