Default should i buy???

as you know my daily driven accord is dead. (look in the accord form)
I also have a civic si hb, but i need a four door.
-I went to go test drive a 90ex 5 speed door and i was conciderbly smooth & mint.
It is white all power stuff(window, steering, sun?, locks) but the ac compressor is out.
-clean title
-no body dents or damage, minior rust in 2 spots
-red interoir(mint but i hate red interior )
-111K miles
-runs strong and good clutch(but valve shound like they are ticking lound)
-both axels are going out
-has a nice deck
-old white guys who drives it 35-45years old
-asking price $1900

what should i do? I need a four door, i;ve been driving around my hb and it is not working for me(booster seat & a baby car seat) in and out every moring & night.
help me decide
(WHAT SHOULD I LOOK FOR) inpect before i get the car?????

if it looks good get it, but if it has rust anywhere on the surface chances are there is a whole lot more in places you can't see! rust is a big problem on ef's! sounds like a decent buy tho, maybe talk him down a little?

TTT for the early moring folks

thanks for the reply. the rust are
1) located on the REAR driver side door/not rear pannel though(on the bottom ledg)
2)also in the rear, but this is on the quater pannel
****both rust spots are not bad. it only looks brown & paint is starting to crinkel. It's nothing major like SEE-through holes hehe

i would say that the rust isn't bad at all. the quarter panel rust is the most common spot for our cars to rust. if it's not that bad i would talk him down and get it. what will you be doing with it? leaving it stock? swap? what?

$1900 is not a bad price, I had 91 accord the axels will cost you around $60 a piece to replace if u do it ur self. And you can get a new engine for around 5-600 bucks (f22's go cheap). the a/c compressor I have no idea about, i never used my a/c, I guess it would depend on wether the freon has to be vamped and recharged.

BEWARE of rust!!!! Make sure you check really hard for rust everywhere! I know it's completely differen't but a friend of mine bought a 63 ford falcon and it only had minor suface rust. But when we got it home and were cleaning it out I lifted up the trunkmat and was staring at the back wheel!!!!! Ever since then I have checked everywhere for rust when buying used cars! Just a heads up. Sounds like it might be a good buy though
