Your 1st drive in an FG2 SI.
Hello all, I have not been active on these forums for years I join the board when I was 23 and got my first civic ek/b18c1 in 97, I'm 35 now and still love these little cars and had nothing but Honda's since I 18, and I've been through many Honda's from B-Series EF, EG, and EKs Hatches.
Anyhow I'll be let letting my B-series coupe go tomorrow and picking up a 07 Civic si Coupe with 75k completely stock in Mint condition. I've never driven one or took a ride in one but I know its the car for me. Im Just Curious what was your impression when you got your first FG2 Civic si.
Thanks Everyone.

My goodness its such a different beast, and the torque is very noticeable Vs the bseries and very smooth, car has 89k and pristine. I really don't even feel the A/C cut on. I'll be going to the Shop this Saturday for the tune and the Rev-hang Fix. All in all I love the car, and I love the look of it. Only thing that has left me stumped was the fact that I have fog lamps but no switch for them? only thing i have over there is my cluster dimmer and VSA, there isnt even an empty spot where the fog switch would be like I've seen on other civic for the gen. Im surprise how well the K-Series responds is crazy.
Nice color... I have in but in 4dr trim.
Yes the tune will be a nice change and will wake it up a little more. Lowering the VTEC engagement makes it have a lot more mid range power.

to get rid of the rev hand and keep the factory tune, all i did was drop in an exedy stage 1 clutch in my old 2007. she felt like a new car. i'm thinking of doing the same thing to my 2012 coupe.

Isn't the fog light switch on the same stalk as the head lights? You turn the inner dial instead of the outer dial, IIRC.
Edit: nevermind. Just looked at pics of my old Si. Its on the dash....drivers side...between the door and steering column.

Yes, the car does feel nicer than the older chassis'. It's the first Si in a long time that actually has respectable performance. 200hp, LSD 6spd trans, etc.

My first thoughts (going from lowered 99 gsr to stock 08 Si):
1. This thing is huge, I feel like I'm driving an suv (from both height off the ground and interior volume).
2. Rev hang is worse than I had expected it to be.
2. This thing feels like it has 2x the torque of my integra (the lightweight flywheel in the integra probably didn't help).
So far I'm happy. Not as tight in the handling department as I'd gotten my 6th gen to but some upgrade in suspension down the road should take care of that. The reb hanging is a little annoying but no real complaints. My '09 is everything that my '96 wanted to be when it grew up.
