B18c gsr, end cam cap bolt busted!!!
So the shoe clerk that had this engine before me decided to leave a bolt busted inside the head, as I'm doing my build I'm removing the cam caps and notice the end cam cap closest to the cam gear has a busted bolt in the head. The 10mm bolt. Anyways, can a machinist take care of this for me? Or could it possibly be done by me...
A Left handed drill bit and some heat with penetrating oil goes a long way. There are other methods, but this is my preferred method. For instance if you use an E-Z Out you still have to drill and risk breaking off the tool in the bolt. Given, if you do it correctly then it works most of the time, but it is just an added step that is typically unnecessary.
There is a saying for this though - "When in doubt, farm it out."
