Default Jdm d15b non vtec questions

Okay I bought this motor and I've been wondering if I swapped a vtec head would I gain anything? When I looked up the motor specs it says 128 hp and 139 tq. I know that's probably not accurate but what can I do to this motor to gain a little bit of power? I have a s20 tranny and it's converted over to obd1. Can anyone help

Throw a 50 shot on it. Vtec wont give you that much power for the $$ spent.

There are many versions of the D15B. I doubt you have the one that produces 128hp and I never heard of any D series producing 139lb/ft of torque (at least not from factory). If there is, I want that one.

I just saw where the 139 figure came from.

im pretty sure that is the hp number for the sohc non vtec zc, not the non vtec d15b. your motor is essentially a d15b7.

I figured those numbers weren't right. I just have no idea what I can do with this motor. I can't really find info on it at all. It's marked d15b and the head is stamped p2a-5. Its an obd-2 motor.
