i was at work talkin with a customer.. told me that when he went to japan he went to autobots (dont know if thats how you spell it) and he said they were coming to the US in january... if this is true, im applying for that job!!!!!!

umm... im referring to the store in japan, supposedly like a pepboys over here.. but instead its a grip of aftermarket parts...dont kno if its true.. jus heard from a customer

The store you are referring to is called Super Autobacs. You might have seen some of their ads in gt3. it is true about a store the size of kmart full of jdm parts. they have everything you will need for your car all in one store. they were suppoesd to come to garden grove, ca back in the early part of summer. but, for some reason they decided not to open it. if they do come in january which, i don't think it will, it would be sweet. i wonder how much everything is going to be, cheaper hopefully.

Your dreams is not ruined!! They are still thinking of a ideal locations in LA but have to finalized because of Japan economy now is bad and also LA have many gangs and they afraid making mistake opening in wrong area. This info came from my friends store "AutoFreak" 7 store chain in East and West coast, from their supplier "Carmate Products" because they started to manufactured English labels for their products in prepare for authorized US distribution through Autobacs. It was forecast last summer opening but have been pushed to 03 summer if everything is in order.

Cool so they will be coming eventually. Just need to save up some money by 2003 so I can buy some goodies when they get here.

 

That is all that we need...someplace MORE ACCESSIBLE to spend all of our money. At least now I have to order things...so I spend less becuase there isn't that instant gratification...this store would be the end of my credit I am sure.

We got one in the UK now, I think they opened up this year sometime. I havent dealt with them yet thou.

 

hmm.. i hope what the customer of KB toys, was saying was true.. that would be soo sweet... probably still wont be as cheap as over there.. but probably cheaper than some places around here

 

ah autobacs.. i heard about that ****..
i saw videos of that, in a drifting video, they went there to shop for parts, damn store is like a wal-mart, but full of import aftermarket parts..
like each sections for each makes of cars.

hope they do have one here, then people will learn to buy true car parts, not cheap apc, tanabe, apr, etc parts..

my dad wants to open an import shop/store.
i wonder how much it cost to open up autobacs.. become one of their chain stores..
i think its over 100k, but my dad would put 300k into it.. maybe get his bro into it and drop in 500k, not too sure..
location would be one thing..
