I have a 06 rsx type-s and the ac compressor keeps cutting off like 30 minutes to maybe 45 minutes of running and wouldn't come back on. I have no leaks, proper amount of Freon in. I would have to turn the ac off for like 10 minutes then it would work for a little while then do the same thing again. Any idea what can be causing this problem. help

 

hate to say it but it sound like the system is over filled....guessing you "refilled" it with one of those off the shelf cans....no way to fix it with out a shop full of ac tools...do not run it, you can kill your compresser or at the least distroy the pressure release valve...if you are thinking you can just let some pressure out...don't, when you let pressure out, you let air in. the systems have to be run in a vacume and unless you have a vacume pump for a auto ac system you are sh*t out of luck....

 

At first I thought that was the problem so I recover the system, pull it to a vacuum and added 19.4oz which is max on the label under the hood. Am going to recover it and add the minimum and see if the problem continue.
