Default quick question before i dyno

Stock b18b1 bottom end with a p8r head. Mods are
320cc injectors
190lph walbro pump
Try y header with 2 1/4 collector
2 1/2 exhaust with resonator and ebay pan
msd pro cap with external coil
cai with 3 inch piping aem filter
my question is i have a skunk2 pro manifold that i bought to use when i boost or build na. Should i put it on now and dyno tune or will i loose in performance due to my stockness?

The reason for the msd is because i had it from a trade and i burnt 2 coils last resort. And the fuel pump was free from a friend when my stock one went. I had a mixed match set of single cam injectors y7/y8 when i did my swap so i ordered those green tops from a supra cheap. This is on my ef hatch 91 dx.

Just put it on now and get it over with. You're fine. won't affect your turbo tune at all when you do it..

x2. Nothing to worry about here.
Shodan it's nice to see you back in the forums sharing again. Project "she" is still something I look up to

Coo will do. I was gonna wait band order a Honda ta or thermo gasket but then I would need the extended studs too so I'll just pick up a paper gasket and go to town with it.

Put a larger throttle body in front of that manifold to see some more noticeable gains. Until you add a larger throttle you are still pushing all that air through the same sized hole. The larger manifold helps, but isn't really performing like its capable of.

Well yesterday I noticed I was still running with a single cam tb and swapped it for the stock and noticed the difference. I'm gonna send a tb to max bore to size it up to the size of the skunk2 opening of 64mm

The stock tb is plenty big to make good power. Unless youre trying to cram 500+hp through a stock tb any gains would be minimal and most "gains" are caused by a loss in throttle resolution. Basically it takes say, 80% throttle opening to reach atmospheric manifold pressure vs 95%. It gets worse as the tb size goes up

Well I won't be getting a bigger tb any time soon. But I will install the mani with my stock tb for now.

definitely throw that manifold on, and throw the dyno results up in this thread im curious about the p8r on a 1.8L

also if u have the chance and parts, i think p8rs came with the small intake cam that sucks butt over 5500 rpm. a quick change to a b18b/b20z intake cam will reduce how bad it falls on its face

When I got the head the cams were in rough shape due to oil starvation so a friend gave me some b20 cams not sure what model. I also have pr4 cams not sure how good those are. I installed the mani last night but have not driven it yet. Waiting on my boy to jump on the dyno

Just test drove with the s2 manifold and it feels like I lost that low end pull like less torque around the 2-4K range. But now the power band feels the same through out. I Def shift thru gears quicker which helps out with my ls tranny

Yeah makes sense that it lossed some torque around that range. That intake is designed for upper rpm breathing (but not extremely high rpm like the victor x) it should pick up some up top
