NJ INSPECTIONS READINGS
Hello I have my inspection readings from 2013 when my car was last inspected. It's a 1990 HONDA ACCORD EX F22A1 what i'm looking for is can these numbers tell me anything like if my EGR ports are possibly clogged or anything that may have to be repaired that is shown by the numbers? Also it passed fine once I put a new cat on it but they did not give me the new readings
Looks like a **** two gas test, with a four gas readout.
HC will be high if the car is running rich or lean, so it's kind of a non-sequitur by itself.
O2 is all screwed up in the first idle test, but with combination of high HC, I would suspect a lean misfire.
CO2 would be ideal closer to 15%, common postings emissions here show ~14.3%
Pull your plugs, check for wear and correct gap. Check the rest of the ignition, cap/rotor/wires. Verify base timing is correct. Verify the engine heats up and is rock steady with the temp gauge. If you need a new thermostat only use one from Honda. Verify the fuel pressure is correct. Low pressure can result in lean running/misfiring/stumble.
If the car has over 100K miles and the EGR ports have never been cleaned, they probably are plugged up. Cleaning these up would remove any part throttle cruise stumble/shaking that may be occurring. NOx reading would be helpful in diagnosing if the EGR system is blocked. Your car only monitors EGR valve lift, not actual flow.

Hmm I see so your saying that's a bit lean even with it being a bad cat? What can the low C02 do to the car exactly? Also I do believe the timing is correct could a bad cat cause C02 to be low? Since that test the cat, distributer, air filter, spark plugs and wires+a new Denso oxygen sensor.
CO2% shows combustion process efficiency. With a properly working engine and emissions controls, tail pipe readings should be close to 15%.
If all those components were in need of replacement and done after the test, emissions output should improve. Need to have another test to know how the engine is running.
