trans swap help
I have a 1990 CRX Si, however, that is irrelevant for this question.
I have a 1994 D15Z1 engine that I'm trying to install a CRX HF trans on however my HF trans has 21 splines and the D15Z1 clutch has 20.
Is there anyway I can swap the input shafts on these two transmissions?
If not will P/N:HCD005U solve my problems?
If not, is there any vendor who sells the 21 spline coupler that I can have pressed into the existing clutch?
I'm really not trying to spend $100 on a new clutch kit when there's nothing wrong with my clutch, flywheel or PP.

You would rather tear down a transmission than replace the clutch? I'd only recommend doing that if you already have another transmission to pull the shaft from. Even then I think you might have to re-shim it for clearances. I'm not entirely sure the two shafts are even swappable as the lengths may be slightly different. I can try to compare one of my cable shafts and hydro shafts later this week if no one can confirm the differences.
Honestly I'd have to say K.I.S.S. and just get the new clutch/pp/flywheel.

So the HCD005U. This is a 21 spline clutch plate that is the same OD as my 20 spline so it should work with the existing PP and flywheel.

I figured I should follow up with my results. If anyone is trying to fit a 21 spline CRX HF trans onto a D15Z1 (being a cheap skate) by using the 1994 flywheel and PP. An Exedy HCD005U will work.
