Retrofit Cruise control
Hi I'm new to this site, so I hope this is the right forum.
I want to put Cruise Control on my My 2010 Civic 2.2 TDCI SE.
I have read that you have to change the steering wheel and uprate the boss. However, on Ebay they have a 2006-2012 HONDA CIVIC FN2 - MULTI FUNCTIONAL STEERING WHEEL 78500-SMJ-U331-M1, and these people told me it will fit straight on. To be honest they didn't sound too sure. Can anybody help?
Thanks
Mike

There is more to it than just the cruise control switches on the wheel. You have to ensure the harness is correct for the system and that your throttle body has the function in it.
The old vacuum system cruise control isn't used on electronic throttle systems...

With the throttle being electric (at least on U.S. Civics), I doubt there are any changes needed there. However, I'm not sure if the cruise control has it's own separate control module or if it's controlled by the ECU.

OP you need to start by finding a service manual with all the cruise control information, figure out what parts are needed, then find a parts car at the yard, pull everything needed and go from there, I'm sure adding an OEM cruise can be done, but it's probably not as easy as you think, even on the older cars, 80's etc, it's complex
