i have a question, maybe you can help me solve this problem,
my 94 accord is acting weird, sounds and feels like and old car, like a very strange explosion inside the engine, i think is a misfire not sure though, it gets to the point where it stalls, what can be the issue?

i cleaned my fuel injectors, or at least i think i cleaned them, took them out, a lil of carb cleaner, but the problem is still there, i have to mention that i had code 43 bad fuel supply system, but now is gone, i only have code 10 IAT sensor, and now the car feels a little better, but now and then the problem returns, and it takes a lot of time to accelerate. thank you and best regards.

 

When was your last tune up? Plugs, wires, cap,rotor, filters? How about o2 sensors? Many things can cause these problems..... so are you getting good spark? Are your plug wires bad and grounding out... etc..? Does it keep popping while accelerating?

 

thanks, im about to change my plugs, the wires are ok we think, im still looking the o2 sensors, cant find them here, are they universal? can you tell me which other model i can use? my last tune up was a little bit more than a year :S i did it and then 2 months later my tranny died, so it sat in my garage for about 1 year, 3 months ago it came back to life

when i accelerate the problem goes away. thank you again.

 

Im assuming your running on 1 year old gas? Try draining and add fresh gas, plugs wires cap and rotor.... sounds like its due. You can get replacement o2 sensors at your local parts store. (Should b in stock, given that they are normal tune up parts) combination of bad plugs/ wires old gas and bad o2 could b all thats wrong with it

 

nah, ive been using the car for 3 months to the point of running out of gas so i think there is no more old gas left, im going to buy the rest of the parts you mmentioned and ill let ya know,

Bad IAT sensor can cause spark knock. I'd start there.

I've read, but never tried myself, that you can clean them with MAF cleaner and/or electrical contact cleaner. If you have a hairdryer (don't use a torch or flame) and a DVOM, I'd test the sensor and associated wiring first. I'm sure someone here has knowledge of the proper resistance at various temperatures. I, however, do not.

 

i removed it and it had a melted tip :S looks like im going to need a new sensor
