Post Up PICTURES of your TIG Torch SETUPS
i don't think nor recall ever seeing a Thread with any pictures of your TIG TORCH setups.
a lot of the TIG welding on here is BALLER but I've always wanted to know what kind of setup they have.
I've been TIG welding for 16 year but hardcore for about 5 years and my welds are far off from what i see on here. Im starting to think its my TORCH SETUP.
i have a SR-18 TIG TORCH water-cooled but not running the water cooler.
thanks guys

Are you running anything for coolant at all? In a non water cooled torch the power lead is inside the hose that brings the argon to the torch head. Not sure I would try to put water to it at this point if you have done any thick stuff or extended welding times. Hw20 is what I use. Preferably the Speedway model that allows you run as many as 320 amps.
i have a WATER COOLED TORCH but im not running coolant thru it at the moment ..
i can weld up just about anything and by the time the torch get really hot im just about damn with the work.
i just want to see what set up people are using so i know what route to take..
currently i have a bulky SR-18 Torch with hand control but i always use the foot control.
its just way to bulky and hard to maneuver and position just how id like to.

You may have a sprinkler on your hands without knowing it. Be prepared to replace the whole torch assembly if your going to run a circulater. Depending on your setup you can just use an avaialble water supply and send the water out the wall or drain. Not the best but back in the 70s I worked at a place for 4 years before the owner finally got a cooler. The other thing is a 5 gallon pail with nothing more then a 30 dollar pond pump would be better then what your doing. It doesnt take anything super sophisticated. All my torches are hw20 based. One with a 250 amp rating the rest with the SW320-25-DX that has the 320 amp rating. This torch comes with the silicone hoses that bend right around your finger even with the sheath on. The sheat is made of super soft leather. These torches are indestructable as long as you dont drop something on the hoses. then again the hoses are no weaker if something is dropped onto them either. Its no cheap but awesome especially if your doing allot of welding in that 250 amp range. If you dont have a big machine then jkust buy a cheaper weld tec but with the silicone hoses. Dont be cheap. The plastic hoses suck
Unless you are welding up some thick aluminum or 1/4" steel Ive never used my watercooled torch for anything and sold it. I just use a wp17 CK torch with the flex head and the superflex hose, it cost me under $80 from weldfabulous
