LSvtec galley plug question

Default LSvtec galley plug question

Im getting my b16 head(PR3-3) ready for lsvtec and i need to plug the oil hole on the bottom of the head. When i look in there it looks like this...Looks as though its already plugged, but its all the way inside there and looks nothing like what this one looks like.

This is what i see in there.

This is the one i have that i am trying to put in.


This is what its suppose to look like?

From your first pic it looks like it is already plugged, but it kind of also looks like your threads are damaged. Will the other one not screw in? It should sit near the surface of the head

This is a little bit off topic, but, that head needs to be resurfaced... whoever machined it cut it waaayyy to course. The HG will have a hard time sealing that.

almost looks like the headstud hole was oblonged by someone for dowel pin fitment.

the head needs to go back to the machine shop

The thing is that plug screws in, i just haven't put it in since i noticed that was in there.
What if there were to be 2 plugs? The one thats up in there...and the one i have that i am trying to put into it.
