Need help with our a/c
Hello recently the a/c for our 2002 Honda civic went out. My husband thinks its the blower but we aren't for sure. The **** turns and the light goes on but no air comes out and we don't hear anything either. Any ideas?? Thanks
I would say the fuse or the fan relay is bad. It's possible for the fan to be bad too.
While you can certainly check the fuse and relay the most common failure on these circuits is the resistor, blower motor and control panel- in that order.
Turn the A/C on at the control panel and check for voltage at the blower motor connector. If you get voltage the blower motor is bad. If you get no voltage, check for voltage at the resistor. If you have voltage at the resistor then the resistor is bad. If you get no voltage at the resistor then it'll probably be the control panel. Post back if you need the diagnostic tree for the control panel.
