Does anyone know why they show different part numbers?

I was under the impression the are the exact same but according to Honda they are not?

ED or EF? Are you talking about the same year model, but different trim spec?

 

I think the difference is the texture. When the bumpers are painted to match the bodywork the surface is smooth, but on cars with black bumpers (unpainted) the surface is textured.

The textured part isn't painted on the bumpers, the bottom section of the bumper is primed before being painted which will smooth out the small 'texture' in that section - but the bumper covers are the same between painted and non painted models.

 

I believe maybe it would be the trim on the bumper?

 

When I went to the body shop they ordered a bumper cover for my SI in came in with a "pebbled" texture which was different from the existing bumper. he called and asked and he was told that all the aftermarket bumper covers had that texture and that if that was not acceptable I would need to order an OEM SI bumper cover.
