I picked up some rear trailing arms. the disks on them look decent and I want to attempt to do this myself but I need some help. I went to a local shop to ask and see if they would give me a list of things I need to get to make this work. Don't know if the guy was honest or not but he said I need new brake lines and a new master brake cylinder to make this work. Was he trying to pull a fast one on me? has anyone done this without replacing these things? any advice will help.

No you don't need a master cylinder. Although you could upgrade to a 1" if you wanted to.

The only brake lines you need are the soft lines from the chassis to the calipers.

How do the trailing arm bushings look? Good time to replace those if worn as well.

one of the bushings is missing so im buying new ones and also thinking on going stainless for the brake lines. thanks for your input.

It isn't necessary unless you're adding bigger front brakes.

Forgot to mention the Prop. valve. You'll need one of those.

This forum has been around a lot longer than you have. Multiple people here, myself included, have been regulars on this forum since before you even started thinking about modifying Hondas. A lot of effort has been put into the FAQs in every section by many people, myself included, and we consider it insulting when you ignore stickied threads. You also make it obvious that you have decided that you are better than every other new member of these forums, which is insulting to every member here.

I already held your hand once, with your steering wheel thread, in which you were too lazy to search, and just came in, palms out, begging for scraps. Rather than learning your lesson and searching, you came in begging again. Cut that **** out.

 

Dude these guys put together the FAQ ( Frequently Asked Questions ) to help you guys, I used to be one of the new guys, like you, and I'm also going to say that the FAQ helps guys like you. Swap info, maintenance, how-to's....all there.

rear disk swaps are a common asked question...search the tech forum for it and you see other posting up asking about rear disk swaps.

 

One thing the HT forum will never run out of, these kinds of threads hahaha
