I'm picking up a rear disc conversion tomorrow. It does NOT include parking brake cables or brake lines. In these pics the calipers are not pictured but are included.



Is this everything I need except for calipers, brake lines, and e-brake cables? Just want to make sure its not missing a braket or something important.

Yes, good call. Forgot to mention I'm getting a 4040 non-abs prop valve, and a 91 civic EX master cylinder.

Other than those is that everything I need as far as the "trailing arm assembly"?

i'm sure u can get a prop valve and a new mc...when i did my JDM gsr rear disk...never put any of those on....and it still worked great...so much better than just having disks on the front...oh and btw it was on a 95 DX

Thanks for the responses. I've just got an odd feeling that there is a bracket or something that the caliper mounts to that isn't there

Not sure, but I was told it is included.

What's this piece circled in red?


Is it missing this piece?

That thing circled is just a shield.
As long as the caliper and bracket is included, you'll need the mc and cables as mentioned, along w/ rear disc lines from something.

...it doesnt matter what car theyre from...rear disc from everything is the same

yup...u can get brake lines from a 91 integra i believe...i got those from a junk yard for like 20 bucks..

Is it a necessity or can I get away with out it? Better yet, can I get it off my stock drum trailing arms?

It is a dust shield that goes over the parking brake cable connections on the rear disks... they aren't on your drums most likely - at least not on my 96 CX - and no u don't need them.

you don't need the dust cover, but be sure not to bend it. i made the mistake of setting the trailing arm on the ground too hard and it bent the dust cover, and where it buckled, it scraped into the rotor.

Thanks for all your help. I picked them up today and they look great. He even threw in GSR rear LCA's and the GSR booster/master cylinder at no extra charge

dang...now all u need are prolly new rotors and pads, prop valve, and lines and ull be set right?

So... What about the e-brake cables? Will the original Drum cables work fine, or do you need cables specifically for the discs?

when I said lines, I meant cables as well....I have been told to replace them all.....not to hijack this dudes thread, but where did u buy the conversion at?? I am going to be doing it soon, but the description on passwordjdm.com isnt very descriptive

make sure you got the right master cylinder gsr is a abs car

Those look like they came from a big brake kit.

you better make ABSOLUTELY sure it has the necessary bracket with it. Without that, those rotors are worthless.

Cables from 92-95 EX/Si, Integras, Del Sol VTECs, 99-00 Si works.

Get the MC from a NON-ABS RS or GS teg.

Yes I realize I need a non-abs master cylinder without reflaring brake lines.

As for the brackets, they're on there and he showed me how to take them off to put stock rotors back on

I'm going to try to find e-brake cables from a 92-95 civic Si or any integra for that matter and a 4040 prop valve from a non-abs integra; either one from a 90-93 or one from a 94-01 RS.

Got them from a guy who was parting out a wrecked GSR.
