2008 civic AC problems
I have a 2008 civic hybrid that has issues with the air conditioner, i took it to a professional that specialize in air conditioner and other auto repair they spent around 3 hours trying to fix the problem and sent me home with the issue not resolved and a big bill. they told me that they could manually get the air conditioner to work with there computer but by on board computer in the car just doesn't send the signal to turn on the air conditioner, there was no error codes showing that there was a problem with any sensors or anything and the pressure level was normal on both the high and low gauges. they also tried swapping the relays and still no results, did anyone else have this problem that got it solved?
i decided to take the civic to a dealer and they told me that the compressor went out, also said the shop i took it to put in the wrong freon when they charged it even though i recharged it about four years ago with the same stuff and my car AC has been running normally all this time. i will be looking for a new AC compressor and hopefully that will fix the problem. Idk why it could be the compressor if there isnt even power going to it.... and when i did put power to it by jumping it, it would turn on.
