97 Honda Accord F22B2
I have a 97 honf accord 2.2. Fans don't work, it runs hot, and its idles high some time and idles low some times... I've replace the TPS taken out the thermostats and replaced the coolant temp sensor, and does the same as it did b4 I replaced all those parts.... Any ideas on what steps to take next??? I need help ASAP. PLEASE AND THANK YOU

There are 2 fans, 2 temperature switches, 2 relays and a fan control module that could possibly need to be tested for proper operation. Do you have access to a multi meter?
It's usually more cost effective and less time consuming to test these components than it is to replace them and hope it does something.
A shop manual is a must have when troubleshooting these cars.
There are PDF manuals that can be found online that cover the test procedures for these issues. The PDF is for the 94-95 Accord but they use the same systems and troubleshooting for the 96-97 as well.

Got one but it works when it wants too... I Dont really trust it anymore. But thanks for the info... Oh yea I tried jumping those other 2 switches and nothing happened but I strait wired the fan to the left near the battery and it works... Replaced the other fan and it doesn't work. Could it def be the two switches or should I do all the tests you recommend earlier to be sure?
