Default Adjusting valves 2001 CR-V

I'm wanting to adjust the valves on 2001 CR-V and it would be great if anybody has any advice/information on the best way to complete this task Also I'm worried that I'm to late in adjusting them because the rpm drops rapidly when I start up the car but then goes back up to idle rpm in 10ish seconds, is this an indication that my valves are burnt and how would I conform this?

I adjusted mine and it did the trick....should be adjusted about every 30K miles. Unfortunately Honda said valve adjust at 100k which was too late. .005 fuel /.008 exhaust. +/- .001
