I need more compression! Where's a good place that i can trust to get my head milled? Im over in the Chicago area and i dont really trust the usual shops in the area to get my head milled. Any idea on how much this can cost?

Well, CTR pistons. Im sure the topic has been covered already and all but would you guys go with milling the head or the CTR pistons. Which way's more cost effective? Im near 11 points on compression.
Ken, do the pistons, little more money but then you dont have metal missing off your head in case you want that compression back later.

Thank you boys!~ Im just worried about where my compressions gonna be at after the pistons
There are probably other pistons that would work, if you do the ctr and its 12 or more and that bothers you, you could get a stock thicker head gasket to help compensate.

Then why not mill the head .025 and use a thicker head gasket later if there becomes some need to do so?
Just milled .025 off of a GSR head and it has worked just fine.

You'd be at 12.5:1 with CTR Pistons and the 2-layer Headgasket.
Get a Hondata and yu should be fine on 93 Octane with tuning.

agreed. I know there are a few ppl on this board thats got the CTR Pistons with the gasket in place. We get crappy 91 octane, Tuning's a bitch. How's everyone's car doing?
j00 might want to try CJ motorsports, Aurora. We are going to dyno there on the 23rd and 24th. Maybe you can come talk to the owner, Charlie, and see if you feel comfortable with him doing the head work for you.

DO NOT MILL YOUR HEAD, just wait to have the bottem end built, and you'd be more happy with the results.w whats taken off the head can't be put back....lol
