P05 ecu with b18b1 swap
Obd1 p05 ecu in my 95 cx hatch with a b18b1 us swap and it's warming up funny and the rev limiter is kicking in at about 3500 rpms in second gear
why I'd this ecu even working? And I tried a pr4 today and my car wouldn't even start, when I Change the ecu do I need to disconnect the battery or not? I know on that last ? I'm gonna get a lot of mixed contradictions but I'm open to opinions!

Any help? I bought another pr4 and tried it my car wouldn't start the guy said something about the wiring and he could fix it but didn't really explain and now he's bs'n me! Any help please tell me I don't have to get it chipped?!
I think you got the wrong ecm all together. I think you need a P74. you didn't give much info on your vehicle... its a cx so that swap should have been plug and play with the p74 engine, harness, and ecm.
unless there is some reason for running a different ecm. you really didn't specify.

WTF is a P74 ecu?
Correct ecu for an obd1 B18B is the P75. As far as I know you can chip the CX ecu just like any other obd1 ecu, but yeah... it should run like total **** on that stock map. How stock is the motor?

94-95 P75 ecu would work. The p05 probably doesn't give enough fuel past 3500rpm to let the b18 run well enough.
PLEASE check if you have any error codes, it is IMPORTANT. If you are getting a code 4 or code 9, then look into the distributor wiring.
