Engine difference?

Default Engine difference?

Was looking into buying an identical engine to clean, learn with, and swap but i dont know which one i have. I think i have the b2, and on a sidenote, how can i find out which engines my body and parts is compatible for a swap?

Look at the engine stamp on the block beside the headers. As for finding out what is compatible with your body style... Google is a wonderful tool

Pretty much nailed it. I would find a D16A6 to rebuild and learn on. They are a slight upgrade. They are also, in my opinion, the easiest to swap. They are still OBD0 and D-series. So your trans and mounts are all easy to work with. Then the ECU is just plug and play with no adapter. You will probably have to do a MPFI swap, but that is no big deal.

Even more so when you consider he said identical. I'd at least reference a SOHC. I'd stay within the D-series if you are really just interested in learning the motor.
