Oil light issue?
Just bought a Civic EX four door for dirt cheap. Car looks and even drove good. Has crazy high mileage, 251,xxx. But idled fine, no CEL, just a small distributor o ring leak.
Anyway, after driving it for about an hour or so, I felt the car "chug" as in, I would press on the accelerator and it won't react. Then, I noticed the oil light comes on and it idles super low.
I have searched a bit, oil pump, sending unit?
What do you guys think?

Or a blown to **** engine with no oil in it.
Seriously, when that oil light comes on, you need to immediately turn the engine off. That means there is no oil pressure. First, check your oil level. Once you've done that, drain your oil, check for metal flakes in the oil, and pray. Once you've done that, drop the oil pan, remove the oil pickup, and check it. If you have the proper oil level, you don't have any metal fragments in your oil, and your oil pickup is clean, then replace your oil pump.
