How Does This Trunk Piece Go Back On?!
Title says it all. I took some of the interior pieces of the trunk lid off to replace a few things and now I can't figure out how this trunk lining goes back on for the life of me.
Anyone know if it's difficult and I'm just missing something here?

I have tried from just about every angle and it feels like something is always in the way.
I took a good look at it and every clip is in it's normal spot, unbroken and all wires are still being held down by the factory cable management clips.
Both sides will go in but if the top goes in first then the bottom won't and vice-versa. It's almost as if something is in the middle of it... like a seesaw.

Keep trying? Seriously, you're there and should be able to see/feel whatever is stopping it. I bet you just need to give a nice bump towards the center of the part. Don't pound it but a few taps with the heel of your hand should be enough. My side panels where the same way.

It's hard to describe but make sure you're pushing flush too, I had one side of a panel in and the other out and because it was bending it a little, it felt like something was stopping it but I just had to make sure the clips were lining up with the holes so I could push it in. Imagine if you could bellyflop the panel in so it would all just jam in straight down haha
Make sure the plugs line up with the holes, & punch them in place.
Looks like your missing a plug (left of center I pic.), this won't keep if from staying on, but it might sit funny.
You can buy replacement plugs @ any auto parts place, & maybe replace any of the plugs that may be broken. They're quite easy to break if you don't pry on the right spot, & they get brittle with age. Those plugs hold/lock the panel in place.
Also looks like there might be 2 screw holes, near the bottom. Are they for screws, or 2 part plugs?
2 part plugs are pressure fitted, the middle pin(part 1) is placed/pushed in the center of the main plug(part 2) causing it to spread, & lock in place.
I pull panels on a daily basis(mostly germans).
