Default Tires going bad too soon?

2001 s2000

The car is slammed on D2 suspension. The car does not have aftermarket control arms, camber kits, etc. Just the D2's.

I run through tires relatively quick. I am about to buy another set of tires. I'm asking what should I do. Buy a camber kit, and do an alignment? Should make the tires last a bit longer correct? With typical rotation and whatnot.

I'm adding a picture to show exactly what's going on. I am not surprised that this happened as I slammed it without buying anything else for it. Just so you guys can get an idea of what I'm talking about.

Last question, what brand tires do you guys recommend? As well with camber kits. As of now the car has 16 inch RPF1's. I was running 45 series but I am not thinking of going to 50. What do you all suggest?

It looks like it definitely needs aligned correctly. I'd throw a camber kit on and take it to a shop who could put it in good tire wear spec

Did you do an alignment at all after you lowered it? Cause it looks like you didn't. It will wear on the inside when your car is that low, but not that drastically. A camber kit will straighten out the wheel so more of the tire touches the ground, which inevitably increase your tire life. There's probably not going to be a very wide variety of racks that will work with a car that's "slammed". Guess you're going for the "look" vs the actual function of the car?

This is actually my girlfriend's car haha. That's all she wanted. No wheel gap. If it were mine, I would have left it alone. Completely, alone. But it's on her. About the alignment, I am not entirely sure. I remember telling her to take it ASAP, did she? I highly doubt it.

lol, yea it looks like she skipped it. An alignment alone will make a drastic difference. The toe is probably so out of whack she'll probably pick up some MPG. It gets pretty bad. This is probably how toe'd out it is. This is my car before an alignment, just after I put on my coilovers.

Steering wheel is straight.

The camber is adjustable from the factory on these cars so a camber "kit" is unnecessary.

As soon as I read "slammed" I stopped reading. You def need an alignment and even with a decent alignment your tires will still wear unevenly.

That car has never been near an alignment machine. Get it aligned.

Get the toe to factory spec. Get the camber as close as you can (camber doesn't wear tires that fast), and get as close as you can to factory caster.

All of that is adjustable. You don't need aftermarket camber arms unless you want your camber 100% factory spec on your slammed car.

Your tire sidewall profile won't make a difference, BTW. If you have 16" wheels:

Go with either:
225/50/16 all around (if wheels are the same width)
245/45/16 all around (if wheels are the same width)
225/50/16 front, 245/45/16 rear.
205/55/16 front, 225/45/16 rear (factory sizing).

I'd sell the 16s and get 17s personally.
