o2 sensor located on cat
there are some sockets that are split/have a split for the wiring.. they are called "02 sensor sockets" ... I haven't personally undid the 02 from the cat.. but this is what I heard people use... maybe you can also use an open end wrench... dunnoz..
I'll try to get a pic.. hold up..
EDIT: this isn't my pic... i just found it on the net.. and its not for a teg but it shocks the socket..

when I installed my header, I used a open wrench to take off the 02 sensor and put it on the header on my 97 LS, it should be the same on yours...
You can just remove the cat first, it'll be much easier this way, or you can just get a monkey wrench and get it off. When putting it back on though dont forget to pretwist the o2 sensor so when you screw it on it will be straight.
I took mine out when I put my header on two nights ago. You should be able to unscrew it with out taking the cat off, but its gonna be tight. Spray something on it to losen it up.
