Icon2 Tail lights issue

Alright before i mount some LEd strips and a toggle switch I would like to see if anybody has had this problem before. I was taking out all the trim to repaint it black and i finally did the cargo area (one of the trickiest ones) but whenever i put everything back, my tail lights (inner, outer, and 3rd brake light) only work whenever i apply the brakes, but not at night whenever i need them. I've changed thousands of tail lights at work and usually changing all the bulbs works, but i took all the bulbs out and tested them with a new bulb and no dice. Now whenever i had the trim removed to paint i did notice that the wells on the rear corners of the interiors under the lights were flooded so i soaked up all the water and got it dry, but over the course of time i was driving without the rear trim, they filled up again, so i drilled some drain holes. Is it possible that the water interfeared with the wiring, or blew a fuse? or could i have accidentally have yanked a harness or pigtail when re-installing the seats? has anyone ever ran into this problem before?

The tail lights and brake lights are fused on different circuits. Check that first, check your ground is connected if you disconnected that for any reason.

Removed the trim and looked in the well to discover 2" of water and a disconnected tail wire. Heard its a common problem in Hondas so i drilled some drainage holes, re-spliced a wire with some fresh copper and will zip-tie/conduit wrap as soon as i get the time. Thanks for the help.
