Icon2 b16 in a 1950 citroen traction avant wiring?

Hello thanks for letting me join your site.
I have a 1950 citroen traction avant they are longitudinal front wheel drive.
So the honda b 16 is a natural swap because of the engine rotation.
Currently i have a large chunk of aluminum in the mill and am machining the bellhousing adapter.

so my question... Is it possible for me to use the stock honda ecu (manual trans) that came with the donor car Obd 1 and just eliminate what i don't need such as vss. gauges etc.
I have done this on american obd 1, but do not have a clue with the honda!
I will be using the mechanical speedo, and the rest of the gauges.
For instance if i do not hook up the honda vss and the dash pods etc will it run?
With the american obd 1 i just found the allways hot wires and the engine power on wires and ground and sensors and fuel pump relay and all worked fine.
Thanks in advance for any help
John

vtec needs to see the speed, but you could probably just get one of those inline adapters that convert the manual speedo to electric

the Honda dash harness has a ton of wires not needed for the swap
you really only need the wiring that connects to the ecu

but the wires for the cluster sensor are already in the shock tower connectors that connect to the ecu inside, so you should use those

I swapped a d16z6 into a classic mini, but I used the Honda's gearbox, but I didn't use the mini cluster, I used an aftermarket one
and made some half mini/half Honda axles
