Well...considering that I posted in here for opinions prior to getting it, i figured I would post in here to say thanks because I am happy with the setup.

As you can see by my post count I don't spam the board with posts to get my post count up. There are far worse and unrelated threads then this in here.

I used to come into this board because of the knowledge. Any I found that the information in this board was more useful than the Civic Boards in relation to my car.

No need to be dicks about it. My car setup is very similar to many of the ITR's in here with the exception of the block. But, I did dyno 167 whp last year which is more than I can say for some b16A or b18C5; NA and CA Smog Legal.

At least I am not wasting board space with :

Smiles,
"bumps"
TTT
or and

on every post like some. Or maybe even

"Reid would say....

Ah. SMSP custom exhaust. SMSP ->

Nice stuff. ClubSI sucks, though.

I read that the power is much smoother with the new smsp exhaust on your clubsi post. Did you tune/get any dyno's to compare the new vs the old?

Ideally I would like to get it retuned. But I don't know if I have the funds right now. Between the Spoon TB and the exhaust the airflow characteristics have changed which may warrant tuning, but at the same time I am not sure if tuning would result in too much.

I think the acutally difference in exhaust size going from 2.37 to 2.5 would have very little effect. I think I may have freed up more hp from the new cat as I was running a stock one before.

I will talk to my tuner and see what he thinks before I go and schedule time.

Very nice.. Good choice SMSP.. I agree with Cruzer, although not "ITR related".. he is thanking this forum for the good info that is provided. Enjoy dude.. Get us some sound clips..

Did you say you want to return the SMSP exhaust???

I would say tuning would do more than you think. I also think that the increase diameter would show a small difference in power, but the flow characteristics of SMSP's exhaust is probably MUCH better than the previous exhaust. I'd tune.

I will tune in about a month. My tuner is on "vacation" in Japan. I could go somewhere else, but I trust him and his reputation. He helps tune Erik Aguilar's car, as they are good friends. I talked to another shop who mentioned that I may need to adjust fuel curves to richen out the system, but there is no way to tell without hopping on the dyno first.

The exhaust seems to have packed in nicely. The system is much quieter than my old system. At first I thought it was louder, but I have noticed that I am just hearing more of my engine now.

Nice bassy rumble to it. Not quite sure how it sounds in VTEC yet. I have heard plenty of exhausts sound great until VTEC (Thermal), and then sound like complete ***. I will have to let my buddy drive it so that I can listen to it.

Just an update-

Car pulls much harder now. I raced a few times this weekend, and the midrange and topend gain is very noticeable. Cars that used to run even with me I know pull on pretty hard.

I would definitely recommend this setup or a similar setup. The bottlenecks in the piping make a big difference.
